Integration Engineer Job Description

As a key member of Ericsson's global Cloud Software and Services Team, the Integration Engineer plays a crucial role in providing industry-leading solutions for Core Networks and Automation, Managed Services, Services Orchestration, and Telecom BSS. This position is essential in enabling communications service providers to succeed in their transition to cloud-native software and automated operations as they prepare their networks for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing, preparing, implementing, and verifying the configuration and integration of a Node/network/system.
  • Performing tasks such as monitoring network traffic, analyzing network logs, and identifying issues to track and improve network performance.
  • Troubleshooting network issues by identifying the root cause of the problem and developing a plan to resolve it.
  • Preparing technical documents, including method of procedure, low-level documentation, scripting, and acceptance test procedures.
  • Ensuring the technical functionality and quality of deliveries.
  • Sharing competence and knowledge with development teams.
  • Coordinating and supporting the configuration/development and Integration Team.
  • Hands-on for Trouble-Shooting and problem-solving for development, installation, configuration, integration, testing, and Launch activities.
  • Implementing the network layout to improve network efficiency.

Requirements:

  • A business level of English B1-B2 or equivalent.
  • Bachelor of Engineering or related field qualification.
  • From 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar technical environment.
  • Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting complex network issues.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate experience crafting multi-vendor network architectures.
  • Demonstrate an ability to seek problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Demonstrate motivation to learn and constantly improve processes and tools.
  • Ability to demonstrate or have experience working with teams locally and globally.

Desired Skills:

  • Cisco CCNA course certification.
  • Good knowledge of OSI model.
  • Good knowledge of Routing & Switching and basic configuration.
  • Knowledge on dynamic routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, ISIS.
  • Linux knowledge.
  • Moderate experience configuring and troubleshooting L2 networks.
  • Basic knowledge and configuration of Juniper routers and switches.
  • Cloud Virtualization concepts.
  • Juniper JNCIA training.
  • Scripting.

Additional Requirements:

  • Able to travel inside Mexico or outside Mexico.
  • To be flexible with working hours as agreed with your lead and team.
