We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Amazon Mexico. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a vital role in promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with Amazon safety standards and applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct risk assessments and job hazard analyses to identify potential hazards and recommend mitigation measures.
- Develop and implement safety training programs to educate associates on observed work habits and promote a culture of safety.
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate reporting systems.
- Support management's efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate Safety Program expectations and applicable federal & state laws.
- Represent the WHS function in site working groups and attend meetings to drive compliance with relevant Amazon standards and procedures.
You will be part of a dynamic team that includes the WHS Manager, Safety Specialist, and Onsite Medical Representatives. Our team is dedicated to ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all associates.
Requirements- 1+ years of experience in a WHS related field.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
- High school or equivalent.
- Experience using Microsoft Word in a professional capacity.
- Fluent English and Spanish language skills, spoken and written.
- Experience in emergency response and worker's compensation case management.
