Job Summary
As a key member of the Hewlett Packard procurement team, this role is responsible for analyzing system query data to identify issues and reporting them to a procurement manager. The successful candidate will conduct research to assess business models in the marketplace and collaborate with internal and external partners to meet procurement objectives. This role involves tracking procurement performance metrics and reporting results to optimize the supply chain.

Responsibilities
- Analyze data from system queries to support a supply category and report any issues or problems to a procurement manager.
- Work with senior members of the strategic procurement team to learn the use of function-specific tools and systems.
- Conduct research to support senior management in assessing current and evolving business models in the marketplace, which can be leveraged to grasp business priorities and translate them into actionable procurement plans.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to engage with partner projects and meet procurement objectives under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Test, troubleshoot, and debug defective product units, sub-assemblies, and process steps based on established testing plans to provide inputs to senior stakeholders for assessing and improving the procurement strategy.
- Conduct data analysis to track procurement performance metrics, review them regularly, and leverage insights to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Measure and report internal results for strategic procurement projects to ensure that strategies are delivered across the organization.
- Conduct extensive market research and analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and industry best practices in procurement strategy.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in procurement activities.

Education & Experience
Recommended:
- Four-year degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
