Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Manufacturing Planning Leader to oversee production and inventory control, ensuring seamless operations and efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead production planning and inventory control, focusing on machine-specific production schedules and material planning.
  • Manage ERP and MRP systems to optimize material procurement, particularly for steel materials, and coordinate closely with suppliers and customers.
  • Oversee APQP processes to support new product launches and ensure alignment with production goals.
  • Analyze demand forecasts and production rates to develop actionable plans for machine and workforce allocation.
  • Drive the optimization of planning processes using advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure production plans are met and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor inventory levels, including cycle counting and management of obsolete inventory, to ensure on-time delivery and minimize risks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in production planning, inventory management, and procurement, preferably within the automotive sector.
  • Proactive problem-solver, capable of managing complex planning processes, and able to communicate effectively with suppliers and customers.
  • Strong knowledge of steel specifications, alloys, and material science, with the ability to apply this knowledge in procurement and production planning.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, graph creation, and budget forecasting.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with suppliers and customers.
  • Strong leadership potential, with the ability to grow into a managerial role within the organization.
  • Experience in APQP and new product launch processes.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
