As a Process Engineer at Corning Inc., you will play a critical role in driving manufacturing innovation and excellence. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team and contribute to the development of new manufacturing processes, technologies, and methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives, including variability reduction, defect reduction, and process control improvement.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including manufacturing process instructions and validation protocols.
- Interface with external partners, including machine builders, system integrators, and suppliers, to specify and deliver fully integrated process machine systems.
- Apply engineering principles and methods to resolve complex challenges and improve manufacturing processes.
- Utilize statistical tools and methodologies, including DMAIC and Lean, to develop process understanding and support robust manufacturing processes.
- Support the execution of the company's roadmap and project portfolio.
- Develop and propose product and process improvement qualification plans.
- Support problem-solving in manufacturing, including root cause identification and resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronic, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Yellow Belt Certification and Six Sigma knowledge.
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge and problem-solving processes understanding.
- Project Management knowledge and self-starter attitude.
