About the Role

We are looking for a talented Software Engineering Manager to lead our software engineering team at Ford México.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Tech Anchor, Product Manager and Development Team to design, implement, and manage GCP-based infrastructure.
  • Innovate and standardize DevOps best practices.
  • Experiment, innovate and share knowledge with the team.
  • Proficiency in using GIT for version control, git actions and collaboration.
  • Lead by example in use of Paired Programming for cross training/upskilling, problem solving, and speed to delivery.
  • Optimize and automate deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve application security, performance and reliability.
  • Ensure security best practices are followed across our cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with integration and performance testing, including scaling and load testing.
  • Integrate GCP services with existing on-premises infrastructure, including high-performance computing (HPC) systems.

Qualifications

  • English proficiency (written and verbal)
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science / computer engineering or similar technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Strong proficiency with GCP services (Cloud Run, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Apigee, etc.)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Tekton, Cloud Build)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience in DevSecOps using tools such as Artifact Registry, Quay, SonarQube, Checkmarks, Fossa, etc.
  • Experience in container management solution: e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, GKE.
  • Knowledge of security practices in cloud environments.
  • Experience managing FIM groups and integrating with corporate SSO systems.
