About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Manager to lead and oversee the development of data exploration, data transformation, and modeling data products, as well as data visualization initiatives that convert data into actionable insights for The Coca-Cola Company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of data engineers in developing and implementing data pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
  • Design, develop, and optimize database architectures and systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data in data products.
  • Develop strategies for data acquisition, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT).
  • Monitor and maintain data systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Implement data governance and compliance standards.
  • Hands-on development and troubleshooting of data pipelines and systems to solve complex data engineering challenges.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to data architectures and systems.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering.
Requirements
  • 7+ years' experience working with Data Products Development (Extractions, Reports, Dashboards).
  • 2+ years' experience leading and scaling data engineering teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a similar role.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, Microstrategy, etc., and techniques.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services, preferred with Azure Cloud Data Services.
  • Solid Knowledge of relational SQL databases and NON-relational databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT processes.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data privacy regulations.
  • Effective communication in English and Spanish (Oral and written).
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience designing, modeling, and/or developing Data Science and Machine Learning.
  • Experience using CI/CD tools - GitHub, GoCD, Terraform, and/or Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for building and developing data products.
  • Experience with metadata management and data cataloging tools.
  • Understand Agile Methodologies such as Scrum, XP, and Kanban & DevOps best practices.
  • Experience working in a multinational, distributed team with in-house and external delivery resources.
  • Working on one Agile life cycle management tool such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
