**Job Summary:**

The Import Sourcing Specialist is a key member of the supply chain team at Motion Industries (Mot), supporting the designated Motion Group. This role involves negotiating with suppliers to obtain goods, materials, and services at the best prices by utilizing strategic sourcing strategies and extensive knowledge of the commodity industry.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and maintain relationships with strategic and transactional suppliers.
  • Provide solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.
  • Manage all aspects of analysis, including demand forecasting, cost savings, slow-moving inventory, and support of sales and operations processes.
  • Manage procurement for a family of parts, including PO management, product knowledge, substitutions, second sourcing, expedites, and related receival and invoicing issues.
  • Conduct research on new suppliers and products, working with Sales and Marketing to develop a strategy.
  • Obtain quotes from different suppliers.
  • Process supplier requisitions and purchase orders, manage past due purchase orders, and resolve supplier discrepancies with accounting, inventory control, or shipping.
  • Coordinate logistics and freight issues with suppliers and the receiving department.
  • Manage master data and inventory preferences for all parts/commodities in a family of parts.
  • Finding and onboarding new suppliers that increase capabilities and reduce costs.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of freight and commodity indices.
  • Positive attitude and high energy level.
  • Ability to gain customer trust.
  • Previous experience in sourcing and negotiation.

**Physical Demands:**

Ability to travel 50% of the time.

**Licenses & Certifications:**

Valid Driver's License and Passport.
