About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Region Engineering Manager to lead our innovation efforts in the Classical Biscuits sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the implementation of processes and technologies that guarantee product design reproducibility and contribute to delivering flawless execution in our Annual Operating Plan (AOP) initiatives for the LatAm Sector and Hispanic Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the scale-up and commissioning stage for new product initiatives, ensuring timely and successful implementation of technologies and platforms such as Wire Cut & Rotary Classic Platform.
- Develop and implement mold designing strategies across biscuits technologies, ensuring innovative and high-quality products.
- Deploy the commissioning process for Classical new products in the LatAm Region, aligning with the Technical Service Group (TSG) to guarantee successful innovations and consistent processes in Plants.
- Support Innovation and Productivity agendas in the LatAm Region, providing key inputs to evaluate technical feasibility, investment requirements, budget management, market timing, and manufacturing risks from a Mold Designing perspective.
- Define and participate in the selection and purchasing of new equipment for Innovation, upgrade, or line replacement, ensuring new capabilities comply with process and product specifications.
- Coordinate and ensure compliance of all process and technology documentation to be delivered and loaded in the SAP/PLM and Accolade systems.
- Develop training plans to promote and provide technical and management skills for collaborator development.
- Research updated processes and technologies in the market for mold designing, establishing communication with vendors to provide technical solutions for differentiated product innovation.
- As a R&D Biscuits and Grains Technology expert, provide technical support for quality, capex integration, product relocation, and process optimization across LatAm Operations and HBU.
Requirements
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a Bachelor's or Engineering degree in Food Sciences, Bio, Chemistry, or Mechanical. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical leadership, negotiation skills, and a positive attitude. Fluency in Spanish and English is required, and willingness to travel and relocate is desirable.
