Job Summary:
The Supplier Master Data Management (SMDM) Specialist will be responsible for managing SMDM processes, methods, and tools related to supplier life cycle management, supplier portals, commodity codes, purchasing groups, supplier onboarding, supplier communications, and trainings. This role will also ensure that these processes, methods, and tools are compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Internal Audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Management: Develop and implement effective processes for supplier master data management, including supplier onboarding, data validation, and data maintenance.
- Methodology and Tools: Design and implement methodologies and tools to support supplier master data management, including commodity code management and purchasing group management.
- Communication and Training: Provide training and communication to internal and external customers on supplier master data management processes and tools.
- Interfacing and Collaboration: Interface with cross-functional departments regionally and globally to ensure effective supplier master data management.
- Process Improvement: Lead process improvements and implement best practices in supplier master data management.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field.
- Language: Fluent in English language.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, purchasing, or a closely related field.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, proven leadership skills, and strong MS Office Suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry Experience: Experience in the automotive industry.
- System Knowledge: Experience with SAP MM.
