About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Manager to join our team at Wabtec Corporation. As a Materials Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials into our shop and to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and fulfillment teams to develop a sustainable supply chain strategy that meets our material needs.
  • Work with sourcing specialists and supplier commodity leaders to establish strong relationships with our suppliers, resulting in improved supplier on-time delivery percentages and material availability.
  • Manage and execute master planning, material processes, and systems, preparing and updating production schedules and purchasing needs.
  • Ensure operational alignment with production plans to execute in compliance with service goals (KPIs).
  • Lead efforts to optimize inventory levels and improve processes to achieve inventory goals.
  • Develop plans and programs to ensure adequate material flow for supply.
  • Present project plans, technical roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to senior business leaders within the technical space.
  • Communicate solutions across functions and with cross-functional partner organizations.
  • Lead, coach, train, and prepare new talents for the next level in their career.
  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and within departments) according to production schedules.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in MRPs, desirable Oracle.
  • Leadership attributes: Teamwork, Integrity, Accountability, Resilience, Communication, Delegation, Vision, Influence, Active Listening.
