About the RoleThis full-time position reports to the Director of Engineering, Search Experience. You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to Etsy's growth alongside mobile engineers and partners. Your work will focus on building industry-leading solutions to help buyers discover items from Etsy's diverse inventory for their personalized shopping missions.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to building exciting features for our Search screen.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Analytics, to solve real user problems.
- Work with product managers, designers, analysts, researchers, and other full-stack engineers to deliver optimal content to our buyers.
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- 3-5 years of professional Android development experience, preferably in a product-minded environment.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- A product engineering mindset, understanding users' problems, and finding effective solutions.
- Experience with Android development and debugging practices and tools.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members.
- Proficiency with version control tools (git and GitHub).
- Unit testing experience.
- Ability to define and solve unconstrained problems.
- Demonstrated interest in monitoring application health and performance.
