Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a highly skilled Accounting and Controls Analyst to join their Regional Controller team for the PCS - CAN Division.

**Job Summary**

This is a professional role that plays a crucial part in a company's financial management and internal control processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and implementing effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) adherence, local statutory/tax compliance, and other relevant accounting standards.

- Internal Controls: Implement and monitor control procedures to minimize the risk of errors, fraud, and financial misstatements. This includes regularly reviewing and improving internal processes, ensuring proper segregation of duties, and participating in periodic internal audits.

- Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable accounting regulations and reporting requirements. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and help the company adapt to new requirements.

- Finance Operations: Support Site Finance Leader actions, including all closing and accounting activities.

- Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues. This analysis provides valuable insights into the company's financial health and helps management make informed decisions.

- Partnership: Communicate financial information effectively between operations and global support centers. Partner with operations to drive actions discovered through data analysis.

- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency. Suggest and implement improvements to reporting methods, financial systems, and automation tools.

**Requirements**

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field

- 2-5 years varied accounting/finance experience

- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles and regulations

- Well-versed in business ethics and internal control best practices

- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner

- Detail-oriented with effective organization and time management skills

- Highly motivated, highly analytical, and self-starter
