Our Optical Communications segment has evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware, and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.

This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data, and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments, and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

As a key member of our team, you will perform technical duties and activities within prescribed time frames, participating in projects to improve overall process and technical efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical duties and activities within prescribed time frames
  • Participate in projects to improve overall process and technical efficiency
  • Train new personnel to standard operating procedures
  • Maintain and ensure confidentiality of information and materials
  • Take initiative to identify and propose remedies to problems
  • Give periodic status reports in written and verbal formats
  • Interact with others at the same level and one level above to ensure continuity and efficiency
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors)Experiences/Education - Required
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • Beginning job content knowledge
Experiences/Education - Desired
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree
  • Successful track record of performance in previous work experiences
  • 1-3 years work experience
