Job Title: Lead Business Analyst

Job Summary:

The Lead Business Analyst will serve as the IT liaison for our International Business Unit teams in Canada and Mexico, driving the technology strategy for Sales and Marketing, Operations, and supporting data and analytics technology. This role will work closely with business units to gain in-depth understanding of business strategies, processes, and services, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and minimize risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic business analysis to drive capability development within each technology pillar and measure success by identifying contribution towards strategic objectives.
  • Partner with stakeholder teams across business units to document necessary business cases to frame opportunities, benefits, and risks to decide on a course of action.
  • Serve as the bridge between business problems and technology solutions by bringing a high proficiency to understand and capture complete business needs to enable effective IT solutions.
  • Manage customer relationships, expectations, and stay current with stakeholder needs and strategies by developing a communication process utilizing formal and informal written communication methods to communicate updates and findings and facilitating project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences.
  • Cultivate strong business relationships by demonstrating an understanding of needs, related processes, requirements, systems, and terminology which lead to gaining rapport and trust.
  • Liaison and collaborate between key stakeholders and IT shared services on support and maintenance related activities to ensure quality of systems.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, or information management.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in, or working closely with, Information Systems or related area with proven experience facilitating technology-based project work.
  • Functional knowledge of SAP HANA, GCP, PowerBI or related technologies and relation to multiple functional areas, including, but not limited to CRM pipeline reporting, Operations, eCommerce performance, etc...
  • 4+ years of experience in gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements with multiple stakeholders.
  • Computer skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of agile management software and processes within Jira or similar.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to tell the story. Experience communicating technical information to stakeholders, peers, management, and non-technical team members. Experience translating functional requirements to highly technical team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across the team with a growth mindset propensity towards action and learning.
  • Ability to work independently and set priorities based on key milestones, impact to strategic initiatives, and high-level direction of management.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a high-paced environment.
  • Ability to process individual and team performance retrospectively, synthesize lessons learned, and apply new behaviors toward more successful outcomes.
Preferred Skills:
  • 2+ years of business process modeling experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of technical writing experience preferred.
  • Understand SAP, or other ERP systems, and how to derive analytics views (facts/dimensions) to support multiple reporting use cases.
  • Experience with CRM capabilities such as SugarCRM, Salesforce, etc...
  • Experience with marketing analytics platforms, such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
  • Basic knowledge of Jira, Micro Focus ALM, Clarity, ServiceNow or similar.
