Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commodity Specialist to join our team at Schlage De México, S.A. De C.V. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with a focus on commodity strategy development and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support procurement activities, including reporting supplier activities, running analytics on commodity spend, and managing system updates.
  • Manage supplier relationships in support of the Sr. Commodity Manager and Commodity Manager(s) assigned commodities.
  • Prepare and conduct solicitations (RFI's, RFQ's) for and execute against high-dollar, high-risk, complex needs to support the commodity strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for increased competitive bidding, smart supplier relationships, and more efficient supply chain processes.
  • Support and manage supplier performance metrics for the assigned commodities, including cost productivity, supplier quality, and supplier risk.
  • Support forecasting and reporting of productivity, inflation, and deflation management projects.
  • Support data gathering and validation of commodity spend for segmentation & project planning.
  • Monitor and report compliance to commodity contracts and strategy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
