This role is based at our Parque Industrial Queretaro site and involves working with our Shop and Mechanic team to ensure optimal stock levels and efficient fleet repairs.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate job requirements to estimate costs and amounts of necessary truck spare parts, tools, and resources for different fleet repairs.
- Respond to queries from the Shop and Mechanic team regarding equipment maintenance issues.
- Maintain optimal stock levels of spare parts and materials in the shop.
- Identify warrantable repairs and process claims with vendors or manufacturers as needed.
- Locate the nearest repair facilities to minimize wait times and ensure quality repairs.
- Communicate with Dispatch and Maintenance Departments to relay maintenance information and track resolution timelines.
- Coordinate with vendors during repairs to ensure specific requirements are met and arrange payment methods.
- Manage the shop area, warehouse, repair costs, and equipment downtime to optimize work order completion efficiency.
- Review expense reports from mechanics and forward them to the Maintenance department for approval.
- Analyze supplier quality metrics to allocate resources effectively within the team.
- Oversee all work orders, ensuring accurate charges are added, including mechanic labor hours and utilized parts.
- Conduct quality inspections of equipment to ensure adherence to government regulations and complete required paperwork.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- At least 3 years of experience managing trucks and trailers spare parts purchases with mechanical knowledge preferred.
- Experience in the land transportation industry.
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Ministry regulations, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and shop management practices.
- Able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Warehouse inventory experience is an asset.
