Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting to identify machine malfunctions and isolate the failure mechanism.
- Perform repairs in the most cost-effective manner, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Carry out preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules, ensuring optimal equipment performance.
- Perform calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules, maintaining accuracy and precision.
- Assist process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment, ensuring seamless operations.
- Research and implement corrective action reports and process tracking mechanisms, driving continuous improvement.
- Record times and problems in equipment logs, providing valuable insights for future maintenance.
- Provide daily equipment functioning activity information, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Set up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments and test equipment, driving innovation.
- Disassemble instruments and equipment, inspecting components for defects, and implementing corrective actions.
- Align, repair, replace, and balance component parts and circuitry, ensuring optimal performance.
- Develop formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations, driving precision and accuracy.
- Assist engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans and procedures, maintaining precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment.
- May require travel to other Flex sites or equipment vendors' locations, ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Higher-level positions may perform both software and hardware maintenance, driving technical excellence.
Requirements:
- Advanced English language proficiency.
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- Allocating work to a team of fitters, ensuring efficient operations.
- Checking and calibrating instruments to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Fitting new parts, ensuring optimal performance.
- Carrying out quality inspections, driving quality and excellence.
- Acknowledging and addressing equipment breakdowns promptly, minimizing downtime.
- Fixing faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment, ensuring seamless operations.
- Keeping production managers informed of progress, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Organizing teams or unipersonal to ensure 24-hour cover, driving efficiency and productivity.
- Working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or computerized systems, driving technical excellence.
