Senior Financial Analyst, Marketing Finance & Strategy

At Zendesk, we're pushing the boundaries of customer service software to deliver exceptional experiences. As a leader in our industry, we're seeking a talented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Marketing Finance & Strategy team.

This role will partner closely with Marketing teams, providing a wide breadth of exposure to leaders and partners. The ideal candidate should have strong financial modeling and forecasting skills, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Marketing teams to advise on strategy, monitor costs, and ensure Finance is informed on important developments
  • Utilize financial modeling and innovative analytics to enhance Zendesk's understanding of its CMO organization, value delivery, and opportunities for growth
  • Facilitate effective decision-making by creating financial summaries and sharing information clearly through presentations
  • Provide Finance oversight for Allocadia, a marketing planning software
  • Perform core responsibilities around month-end financial close, forecasting, and preparation of management reports related to financial results
  • Serve as primary point of contact and approver for critical processes, including purchase requisition approvals and hiring requisition submission/approval
  • Tackle new and evolving priorities for the team, including ad hoc analyses

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, investment banking, consulting, private equity, or a relevant field
  • Exceptional MS Excel and Google Workspace skills required
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve data issues/needs quickly
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to synthesize and communicate information across teams; comfortable presenting to executives
  • Strong EQ, experience partnering across matrixed organizations, and an appreciation for building deep business partnerships
  • Experience with financial planning systems, particularly Adaptive, is a plus
  • SQL experience is a plus

Please note that this role requires physical presence in and a plan to work from Mexico City (CDMX) or Mexico State (Estado de Mexico).
