Job Description

The Financial Operations Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of accounting processes at Expeditors. This position is responsible for reviewing and following up on financial reports to prevent any repercussions on our month-end and year-end close.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with team members daily, participate in regular meetings, and build healthy cross-functional relationships.
  • Understand and implement company controls, policies, procedures, processes, applications, tools, and systems.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, support projects, and initiatives at all levels.
  • Escalate problems or concerns to the Accounting Team Lead, Supervisor, and Manager.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Team on initiatives and priorities for the department.
  • Properly utilize all Expeditor systems and tools, especially the accounting system.
  • Ensure effective management of visitors, calls, mail, etc.
  • Register visitors properly using our proxy click system.
Financial Management
  • Perform Accounts and Accounts Receivable functions as needed.
  • Provide customers with CFDI Payment Complements once deposits have been applied.
  • Follow up on accounting reports to avoid repercussions on reserves.
  • Maintain a filing system according to internal and local document retention policies.
Fixed Assets and Compliance
  • Responsible for paying facility expenses assigned according to accounting guidelines.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and complete the Annual Inventory reconciliation.
  • Comply with company internal controls, specifically the Financial Process Control Documentation.
  • Promote compliance and follow all company policies and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting preferred.
  • Ability to learn and apply global logistics industry processes and procedures.
  • Customer satisfaction oriented.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and business analytical skills.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, Expeditors offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
