Senior Bookkeeper

Accountant Role Summary
Maxcess International, Inc. seeks an experienced Accountant to support the financial operations of our Queretaro office, ensuring compliance with Mexican accounting standards (NIF), tax regulations (SAT), and labor laws while collaborating with external accounting firm Tello.

This role involves general accounting, financial reporting, banking, and payroll-related tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial processes in alignment with corporate policies and Mexican regulations.

1. Record and report on all financial transactions, maintaining accurate and complete general ledger (GL) records.
2. Process journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and verify supplier payments.
3. Manage cash flow, reconcile bank accounts, and review expense coding.
4. Ensure compliance with Mexican tax laws (ISR, IVA, IMSS, INFONAVIT, CFDI electronic invoicing).
5. Support payroll processing with external providers, ensuring accurate tax deductions and benefits compliance.
6. Assist in financial reporting, statutory filings, and external audits (SAT, IMSS, auditors).
7. Provide ad hoc analysis, process improvements, and ERP system updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Contador Público or Licenciado en Contaduría preferred).
• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican and U.S. tax and labor regulations.
• Experience with ERP systems (Epicor, Oracle, OneStream) and payroll software (UKG, NOMIPAQ, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams across different locations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both Spanish and English (verbal and written).
