As a Senior Android Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for our users. You will work closely with our cross-functional team to deliver features that meet our users' expectations and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop high-quality mobile applications using the latest Android technologies and architectural patterns.
- Collaborate with our agile cross-team of developers, testers, designers, and program managers to build features that engage our users and meet their expectations.
- Implement client-side features and server APIs and services to support planned mobile functionality.
- Consistently deliver performant, testable, scalable, and highly-readable code using object-oriented best practices.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Android development.
- 4+ years of experience with Java and Kotlin programming languages.
- Ability to mentor and coach junior and senior developers.
- Ability to drive cross-team design and framework decisions.
- Deep knowledge of JavaScript and hands-on experience with React and Redux.
- Strong knowledge of HTTP basics, caching, response codes, headers, cookies, and sessions.
- Strong CSS knowledge, including layout, component libraries, and media queries.
- Team leadership and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work closely with other engineers and disciplines, including BE roles, product, and design.
- Experience delivering quality code on a deadline.
- Strong experience profiling for optimizing performance and resource utilization.
- Ability to work well with product management, design, and services to shape and define products.
- Experience with Agile development processes.
- Ability to work well in a team setting.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
- Must be authorized to work in Mexico.
