Key Responsibilities- Establish and oversee the application of operational risk policies, technology, and tools to minimize losses from internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
- Assess risks and drive actions to address root causes of operational risk losses by challenging historical and proposed practices.
- Establish and maintain a robust control environment and culture within Citi businesses worldwide.
- Assist management in achieving strategic objectives, promoting efficiency, reducing risk of loss, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain tracking metrics for management reporting and escalation.
- Establish a rapport with Business Managers, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Legal.
- Develop a broad and detailed understanding of the organization's landscape, culture, and technology.
- 6-10 years of experience in Operational Risk is a must.
- Other risk and control disciplines, such as credit and market risk, would be a plus.
- Experience in Internal Audit or Financial Control would be desirable.
- Expertise in Fraud Awareness and Risk Management, Legal and Regulatory Compliance, and Management of a global operations environment is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
