**Job Summary**

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Vertiv Co. The Design & Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for creating 3D models, Work Orders, and bill of materials (BOMs) for projects related to C&I and Data Centers with minimal supervision of senior and/or lead project engineers.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Utilize CAD software for 2D & 3D design and create 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies from both 2D and 3D data.
  • Design 3D sheet metal parts and welded structural steel frames.
  • Create 3D piping/conduit from 2D layout and create part, assembly, and assembly drawings from 3D files.
  • Proficiency in working with CAD system and accuracy in maintaining bill of materials (BOMs).
  • Complete work assignments within determined time frame and demonstrate creative ability, accuracy, and cost effectiveness.
  • Provide engineering support to manufacturing during production and testing, and work under the direction of supervisor, lead project engineer(s), and/or manager.
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects, switch tasks when situations arise, and have a medium degree of customer interaction.
  • Participate in group discussions and Web Meetings regarding projects, and perform other related duties as assigned.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering disciplines.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in product engineering or mechanical design.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and produce technical drawings, knowledge of PLM system, and self-starter ability to solve problems.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish required, and proficiency in use of MS Office Software.
  • Experience in modeling tools such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, PTC Creo, or others, and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
