About the Role
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining a world-class maintenance program. This will involve partnering with operation leaders to develop maintenance metrics that drive business performance, leading a team of maintenance engineers to focus on equipment reliability and maintenance planning, and executing CapEx projects to align with business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a robust set of maintenance metrics that indicate business performance.
- Lead a team of maintenance engineers to focus on equipment reliability and maintenance planning.
- Lead the execution of reactive, proactive, and predictive maintenance activities for the site.
- Develop and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Provide overall EHS leadership to the maintenance team and participate in accident investigations and site tours.
- Maintain the LOTO procedure database and post updates on related equipment.
- Establish baseline and target for maintenance metrics and costs, and provide frequent updates and action plans to operations teams.
- Gather and compile examples of best-in-class maintenance practices to share and implement with operations teams.
- Develop project plans for maintenance turnarounds and continuous improvement projects, and meet regularly with maintenance and operations teams to update progress and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with integrated suppliers to ensure proper critical spares are available when required, and optimize inventory levels.
- Develop and maintain a database of equipment documentation, and provide access to maintenance and engineering teams.
- Develop weekly and monthly reports that capture maintenance labor and supplies spend by asset and department.
- Develop and maintain a labeling program for all assets, including electrical and mechanical equipment.
Requirements
- BS degree in engineering, plus 10 years of experience overseeing maintenance jobs, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Experience in using a CMMS.
- Knowledge of the following trades: electrical, local power supply regulations, instrumentation, programmable logic controllers, fluid power, mechanical, HVAC, variable frequency drives, fabrication, welding, and robotics.
- Experience in project management, technological advancement, new product/process implementation, and greenfield experience.
- Possess superior organisation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to perform as a leader and collaborator, and communicate comfortably at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience operating in ERP systems is preferred.
- Advanced MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, project management, good report writing, and data analysis skills.
Physical Requirements
The successful candidate must be capable of sitting and using a computer for a considerable portion of an 8-hour workday, and must be able to walk throughout the facility and property to check on employees and equipment. The candidate must also be able to physically wear personal protective equipment, such as a hard hat, safety glasses, respirator, and steel toe boots.
