Responsibilities
- Optimize designs and piece parts for manufacturability, and realize sample tooling, product samples, and prototypes.
- Design, develop, and qualify tooling and manual/automate processes for high-speed products to meet TE quality and production standards.
- Implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control, enhancing overall manufacturing capabilities.
- Lead the successful transfer of new products from Engineering to Manufacturing Operations, ensuring seamless integration of processes and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Requirements
- Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- 8 years of work experience on high-speed cable manufacturing, specifically cable assemblies for data centers, AI, and supercomputing.
- Experience with applicable systems (SAP, TLM, CAD etc.) and familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Strong experience in understanding industry document specifications like US-CAR & IPC620.
- Strong understanding of cable making technology, stamping and plating technology, HSG molding technology, metal and plastic raw material characteristics.
- Experience in product tolerance analysis, stability using verify data analysis the processes, such as the CPK.
- Expertise in the product development process, able to provide DFM, SOP, PFMEA, BOP, CTAR required for each phase according to the project schedule.
- Working knowledge of manual, semi-automatic and automatic assembly processes.
