Senior Control Valve Specialist

Copeland is seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Valve Specialist to join our team in Mexico City, Mexico. This is an exciting opportunity to work with us on capital projects and contribute to the growth of our business.

We are looking for a seasoned professional with expertise in control valves and process industries. As a Senior Control Valve Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers, providing technical support and solutions, and driving sales growth.

Your primary focus will be on increasing the participation of Emerson's Flow Control Valves (FCV) in EPC project activities through the development of preferential supplier relationships and creating value on FCV products preference. You will work closely with the Sales team, Autosol GPP team, and FCV Business Unit Global GPP team to achieve this goal.

• You will engage early in the project cycle with customers and create differentiation, drive preference, and spec in products & solutions pertaining to Flow Controls Business in the project specifications.
• You will travel within the country and outside to engage with EPCs or FEED contractors or end users, develop the Mexican business, and work in a highly collaborative matrix organization managing the local partner relationship and leveraging the partner resources.

• You will identify, develop, and influence the preferential position of FCV product and solution with global EPCs and México end users investing in Capex opportunities.
• You will provide local strategic relationship influence and value-add support to EPCs, OEMs, End Users, and sales channel.
• You will achieve and exceed set targets for Projects.
• You will obtain data on projects from public domain, magazines, and prepare forecasts for upcoming KOB and KOB projects in México.
• You will identify major projects in the region, manage project reviews with the local teams, and prepare the projects for the monthly global project gate reviews.
• You will build up of specifications for major projects from pre-tender stage by working in conjunction with the EPC/FEED consultants and influence spec in for Flow control range of products.
• You will make monthly calls with project pursuit team highlighting key project activities, setting priorities, and global agreement on set must win projects for different industry segment including sustainability ones.
• You will prepare monthly reports, POR & SOP reports, and forecasting the business with respect to the industry segment, product mix, customer credentials, and buying patterns also including won/lost/forecasted data, as required.
• You will own other World Areas for México Destination KOB/projects, provide end user support, priority setting, and all needed support to win the project.
• You will organize & conduct technical presentation at key end user sites, EPC & FEED consultants on Emerson capabilities, differentiation, and create preference for our solutions.
• You will develop contacts and relationships within the customer to ensure that we are fully aware of their needs.
• You will provide competitive, technical, and commercial input for each proposal and ensure our bid is fit for purpose as per customer needs, drive MIB.
• You will work closely with KOB execution world area in conjunction with Project Management team to ensure the pursuit strategy is followed and drive cost optimization for targeted projects.
• You will lead and develop the project proposal DOA by ensuring best, lean, cost-effective proposal meeting customer needs is put forward.
• You will lead the DOA approval process with different layers of FCV BU management clearly highlight the pursuit strategy and business objectives to be met.
• You will effectively set short and long-term market strategy and business development plans for direct project sales.
• You will manage effective use of CRM tool for KOB projects.
• You will manage effective regular communication with other World Areas/GPP team on project development/updates.
• You will work closely with other Emerson Automation Solutions Business units/XBU/GP teams for MAC/multi-divisional pursuits.
• You will establish and drive programs to leverage the installed base after completing a KOB pursuit.
• You will lead years and capital spare parts pursuit for KOB projects.
• You will keep up to date with developments in products, industries, competition, and market trends.
• You will fulfill any other reasonable duties as requested.
• You will ensure compliance with Emerson ethics policy, trade compliance policy, business unit policy, safety, and quality program requirements.

• You will need an Engineering degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or closely related discipline.
• You will need minimum 8 years working experience in Process and/or relevant industry.
• You will need minimum 6 years working experience in Flow Controls Valves.
• You will need knowledge on Midstream, Refining, and Oil & Gas, Petrochemical process, and special control valve application/needs.
