Cost Accounting Manager

At Universal Electronics Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing and leading the Americas region costing team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and direct the Americas region annual standard cost update
  • Manage and direct the worldwide annual physical inventory count
  • Communicate with all levels of management regarding inventory balances, inventory movement, inventory variance analyses, inventory reserves, and inventory costing
  • Support monthly forecast on inventory and cost
  • Maintain SOX controls and update SOX documentation as required
  • Support quarterly reviews and annual audit with external auditors
Requirements:
  • Advanced fluency in English speaking and writing
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant manufacturing accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX requirements
  • Self-starter with attention to detail
  • Team oriented with strong leadership skills
  • Strong time management, organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to a changing environment
  • Ability to multi-task and self-manage deadlines with a strong sense of accountability to manage workload
  • Strong technology skills, particularly advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in a major ERP is required. Experience in Oracle EBS, ARCS, and FCCS (Hyperion) is a plus
