**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Welding Process Engineer to join our team at Trane Technologies. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust and reliable welding and assembly processes to support our regular operations, new product development programs, and productivity initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement complex welding and assembly processes to meet product and project costs, quality, and implementation schedules.
  • Manage controls to ensure welding standards and certification are achieved, and lead and coach the team on best practices.
  • Apply advanced problem-solving skills using 6-Sigma, DOE, A3, 9-Step Problem Solving, and 5-Why tools to determine root causes.
  • Develop and maintain welding programs through analysis of critical dimensions and tolerancing.
  • Design and select tools and fixtures, define inspection processes, and quality certification according to welding process standards.
  • Develop and update certification programs for operators and setups to international welding standards.
  • Perform administrative tasks as part of project implementation, including purchase orders and follow-up.
  • Measure, analyze, and improve indicators such as scrap, first-pass yield, downtime, and efficiency.
  • Develop and update control plans, PFMEAs, JSAs, and ergonomic studies related to welding and assembly processes.
  • Collaborate on operational excellence initiatives, including value stream analysis, root cause elimination, and Gemba walks.
  • Analyze and resolve customer complaints and lead process quality audits.

**Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in welding and assembly process engineering, project management, and team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Material Flow, DMAIC, GD&T, MiniTab, TPM, and Autocad.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
