About the Role

The Senior Financial Analyst - Home Entertainment FP&A will be responsible for providing timely and accurate forecasting, reporting, and analysis for Warner Bros. Discovery Studios. This role will work closely with business finance counterparts to gather inputs and understand drivers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Track and Follow Up on Cross-Functional Costs

The Senior Financial Analyst will track and follow up on cross-functional costs, such as mastering and marketing corporate costs, ensuring accurate allocation and management of these expenses.

Support and Track P&L Efficiencies

The Senior Financial Analyst will support and track P&L efficiencies across total business unit costs, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and improved financial performance.

Align Financial Corporate Allocations

The Senior Financial Analyst will work with corporate teams to align financial corporate allocations, ensuring consistency and accuracy across business formats.

Prepare Preliminary Forecasts

The Senior Financial Analyst will prepare preliminary forecasts for studio meetings and month-end reporting.

Reconcile Actuals vs Prior Forecast/Budget/Prior Year

The Senior Financial Analyst will reconcile actuals vs prior forecast/budget/prior year and provide variance analysis to explain performance.

Work with Studio FP&A

The Senior Financial Analyst will work with studio FP&A to produce forecast, budget, and long-range plans.

Evaluate Financial Impact of Potential Strategy Decisions

Manage Ad Hoc Analysis and Financial Data Requests

Requirements
  1. At Least 4 Years' Experience in Forecasting & Analysis

The Senior Financial Analyst will have at least 4 years' experience in forecasting and analysis, finops, or other relevant analytic business experience.

Strong English Verbal and Written Communication Skills

The Senior Financial Analyst will have strong English verbal and written communication skills.

Strong Proficiency in Excel and Other Data Analysis Techniques

The Senior Financial Analyst will have strong proficiency in Excel and other data analysis techniques, with demonstrated experience in financial modeling.

Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills

The Senior Financial Analyst will have critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to frame issues, articulate findings, and present optimal solutions.

Proven Ability to Build Confidence and Trust

The Senior Financial Analyst will have proven ability to build confidence and trust with department members and external business partners.

Experience Working with High Volumes of Data

The Senior Financial Analyst will have experience working accurately and efficiently with high volumes of data under strict deadlines.
