Platform Solutions Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our team at Takeda's Innovation Capability Center in Mexico City. As a key member of our digital transformation journey, you will play a crucial role in providing solutions and value using Splunk.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and mature platform capabilities, working closely with applications and platforms teams to deliver engineering outcomes.
- Identify new Splunk technology platform capabilities and outline options for cost-effective, incremental, and resilient implementation approaches.
- Design and optimize data models to support effective searching, reporting, and analysis, and develop efficient data ingestion strategies.
- Utilize Python scripting skills to automate data retrieval and enhance the efficiency of Splunk service consumption reporting.
- Provide specialized knowledge and expertise to maximize the value of Splunk in the Takeda landscape.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including product/platform owners, application owners/SMEs, and system administrators, to understand their requirements and provide effective Splunk solutions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with Splunk and premium products, including ITSI.
- Experience with Observability is a plus.
- Critical thinking skills to develop health-rules/logic identifying performance and system degradations/business application issues.
- Proficiency with basic data analysis, data correlation, data integration, data modelling, scripting, and core query languages.
- Deep understanding of the Splunk family of solutions, including ITSI and Observability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with multifunctional teams.
