About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at Google. As a key member of our Fixed Assets Operations team, you will be responsible for managing the global accounting for Google's entire Cap Ex portfolio, manufacturing operations, and related expenses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close tasks related to PP&E area, including managing asset creation and retirement processes, providing commentary for flux analysis, and booking journal entries.
  • Prepare and present financial information to various audiences, including finance leaders, business partners, auditors, and regional accountants.
  • Identify and implement process efficiencies through elimination, automation, and sourcing.
  • Support SOX controls for PP&E processes and run processes according to risk assessment and control frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement of gFA processes and ensure high-quality standards in the fixed assets register, reconciliations, and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification.
  • 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently for interactions with regional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master's degree in Accounting.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and experience with SQL and SAP ERP.
  • Collaborative style and ability to work with cross-functional and international teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
