Accountant III Job Description

At CommScope, we are seeking a highly skilled Accountant III to join our team in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for assisting the financial controller with the month-end close process, including posting journal entries, preparing monthly accruals, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and other general accounting entries.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly accruals for non-PO invoices, including accruals for freight charges, contractors, and utilities.
  • Reconcile and document all accounts on general ledgers and accounting procedures.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
  • Assist in the development of corporate financial accounting policies and procedures.
  • Implement and design financial reports, accounting processes, and systems as directed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience.
  • Significant knowledge of accounting principles, practices, methods, and techniques, as well as federal accounting regulations, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of SEC/IRS regulations and FASB guidelines.
  • Ability to analyze business conditions and define problems, research, collect, and analyze data.
  • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • PC proficiency, including utilizing Microsoft Office software and experience using an ERP system and accounting-related software.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA certification.
  • Bilingual skills.
