Restaurant Captain

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Captain to join our team at Marriott International. As a Restaurant Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining rooms, restaurants, and coffee breaks. This includes communicating service needs to chefs and stewards, preparing and presenting checks to guests, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with chefs, stewards, and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery
• Prepare and present checks to guests, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail
• Inspect the dining rooms, restaurants, and coffee breaks to ensure they are ready for service
• Check in with guests to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns
• Set tables according to type of event and service standards
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least 2 years of related work experience
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
