**Job Summary:**
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct engineering support to manufacturing production lines, ensuring compliance with specifications and product quality.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Under limited supervision, this position will:
- Provide technical expertise and leadership for daily manufacturing operations, ensuring established metrics (production, quality, scrap, and cycle time) are met
- Utilize process excellence methodology and analytical problem-solving tools to identify and implement improvement projects that reduce costs, eliminate waste, improve quality, and minimize cycle time
- Establish specific manufacturing capabilities to support transfers and new product introductions
- Provide technical expertise to support special projects, pilot operations, product and process improvements, risk management actions, and develop capital expense forecasts and equipment/spare parts budgets
- Identify and develop corrective action plans to improve instrument reliability in the field
- Support product inquiry investigations
- Comply with safety policies and procedures within the work area
- Collaborate with suppliers for major services/products as needed
- Ensure compliance with Environmental Management System (EMS) responsibilities
- Follow J&J and EES Records Management Policies
**Requirements:**
- B.S. Engineering degree or higher
- 4-6 years of related experience
- GMP/ISO knowledge preferred
- Knowledge of product and process design, materials, standardization science, and applied statistics
- Knowledge of project management and cost analysis preferred
- Knowledge of information systems, including but not limited to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Quality Systems & Documentation Control Systems
**Estimated Salary Range:** $120,000 - $180,000 per year
