**Job Summary:**

The Strategic Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities across multiple sites, ensuring efficient and cost-effective purchasing processes. This role requires a strategic thinker with experience in manufacturing procurement and multi-site management.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Procurement Management:
    • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the procurement team across multiple sites.
    • Ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and manufacturing needs.
  • Multi-Site Coordination:
    • Oversee procurement activities and ensure consistency and efficiency across all locations.
    • Collaborate with site managers to understand and meet their procurement requirements.
    • Standardize procurement processes to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Supplier Relations:
    • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Conduct regular assessments and audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best terms and prices.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
    • Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment within the procurement department.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Collaborate with production and inventory management teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
    • Develop and implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and reduce lead times.
    • Monitor inventory metrics and adjust procurement plans as needed.
  • Cost Control:
    • Monitor and control procurement budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
    • Conduct market analysis and research to stay informed about market trends and pricing.
    • Implement strategies to reduce procurement expenses without compromising quality.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.
    • Analyze procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.

**Qualifications:**

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.
