Job Description- Lead platform engineering, setting priorities, and ensuring progress toward goals, driving business success.
- Provide expertise in Monitoring/Telemetry/Observability platform engineering, leveraging your knowledge to drive innovation.
- Evaluate platform quality through consistent development, testing, and documentation, guaranteeing excellence.
- Oversee platform outcomes, focusing on continuous improvement and key performance indicator (KPI) alignment, propelling success.
- Manage budgeting, planning, team motivation, vendor contracts, and Level 3 support, optimizing resource utilization.
- Establish governance structures and best practices for platforms, promoting efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate on platform architecture and development, ensuring alignment with business objectives, fostering innovation.
- IDentify and implement new technology capabilities and support system demos, staying ahead of industry trends.
- Maintain and manage the platform's software infrastructure, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Management Information Systems from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience with Agile methods and methodologies, including leading SCRUM and Lean/Kanban teams.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience as a technology engineer, with at least 7 years in a role managing platform teams.
- 7+ years of experience enabling telemetry, monitoring, and observability environments using leading APM/AIOPS solutions (Splunk, AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, ServiceNow preferred).
- 3+ years of experience using public cloud infrastructure (AWS required, Azure desired).
- Proven track record of achieving results in complex organizations, driving success.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically.
- Healthcare/life science/pharmaceutical industry experience required, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Referenceable leadership, management, or key influencer experiences required, showcasing expertise.
- Ability to work in an agile and rapidly changing environment with high-quality deliverables, meeting expectations.
- Previous experience managing global engineering teams and budgets required, demonstrating strategic thinking.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with excellent communication and influencing abilities.
- Ability to think outside the box for innovative engineering capabilities, driving creativity.
- Knowledge of information management practices, regulatory requirements, and global data privacy laws related to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven knowledge of IT Service Management, Service Operations, and Service Release (ITIL v4 and ITSM), applying industry standards.
- Working knowledge of DevOps CI/CD technologies and lifecycle, with experience in container technologies and services (Kubernetes based preferred).
