Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Debug Technician to join our team at Flex Ltd. As a key member of our production engineering team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment at the component level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment at the component level.
  • Operate electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and conduct special tests as required.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel.
  • Collaborate with engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates.
  • Present training, when necessary, to the new build and service assembler teams.
  • Contribute to the development of work instructions, batch records, equipment logs, material specifications, and other device history documents.
  • Help monitor productivity of our equipment by tracking yields and equipment cycle rates.
  • Assist with the installation, debug, and validation of process equipment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • Develop and maintain a Debug Guide to troubleshoot PCBA.
  • Provide training and PCBA debugging guidance to other debug technicians.
Requirements:
  • Serves as an expert/consultant in technical skills with other employees.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of advanced technologies as well as functional techniques and improves processes.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, work that requires repetitive motion, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
