About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Engineer to join our team at Timken. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in establishing direction and leadership for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of industry-leading environmental, health, and safety programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective EHS strategies and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of EHS incidents and develop robust countermeasures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Perform safety audits of company facilities and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to establish and maintain medical first responders and guide the fire brigade team to maintain fire containment skills.
  • Coordinate and lead other necessary brigades, including evacuation, rescue, and first aid.
  • Support facilities in achieving EHS compliance obligations, identifying and reducing risk, and improving efficiency through ergonomic improvements and waste reduction.
  • Implement and maintain systems for collecting and managing EHS metrics, requirements, and records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or EHS Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience as a EHS Engineer in a manufacturing industry.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to establish processes and standards to apply consistent practices throughout the business.
  • Experience complying with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
