Financial Controller Assistant

Role Overview
The Assistant Controller will play a vital role in completing financial analysis, budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes. This includes ensuring compliance with monthly tax reporting to the Mexican government and overseeing accounts receivable and collection of past due accounts.
Main Responsibilities
- Complete monthly financial reporting to the Swiss parent company, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with monthly tax reporting to the Mexican government, liaising with external tax accountants as needed.
- Oversee accounts receivable and collection of past due accounts, maintaining accurate records and addressing any discrepancies.
- Assist the Controller with administrative tasks, relieving their workload and ensuring seamless operations.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by the Managing Director - Mexico, supporting the company's goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university, with 5 or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred qualifications include a CPA license and/or a Master's degree, as well as strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis.
- Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting is essential, as is experience in managing payroll and streamlining accounting processes.
- Proficiency in English is required, with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as processes, procedures, tax code, and specific service reports and documents.
- Effective communication skills are necessary to convey ideas both written and verbally to customers, management, or employees.
Work Environment
The Assistant Controller will work in a moderate noise level environment, with regular requiremennts to walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be necessary. The individual must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
