Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our construction operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising construction activities to achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate single or multi-discipline projects of small to medium size.
  • Supervise construction activities to achieve project objectives.
  • Assist the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager in preparing the site safety program.
  • Assist the project Permitting Engineer in obtaining construction permits.
  • Implement safety programs to ensure a safe working condition and a clean work site.
  • Ensure that work processes are in accordance with the Quality Assurance plan.
  • Supervise contractors' preparation, maintenance, and change in construction schedules, method, manning charts, and construction equipment requirements.
  • Advises contractors to improve unfavorable trends in progress or to develop new construction methods to overcome unusual circumstances.
  • Supervise field construction activities through the Site Manager or Construction Coordinator, coordinating their activities to ensure project targets adherence.
  • Work with the site engineer to review construction schedules, construction statements, and other documents submitted by the contractors.
  • Preside over all site daily/weekly meetings.
  • Coordinate with the client counterpart, keeping the Project Manager informed daily of progress and problems.
  • Coordinate with the Project Control Engineer (scheduler, estimator) at the home office to obtain the status of costs and schedule and coordinate with the buyer to obtain the status of long lead items or other materials and equipment needed to be purchased.
  • Support the Project Control Group as necessary for progress calculation, adjustment based on all kinds of dynamic status.
  • Prepare detailed construction completion plans. Request contractors to submit lists of remaining work and ensure completeness.
  • Assist the Project Manager with the preparation of required documents for construction completion.
  • Maintain organization of operational and maintenance training and commissioning works.
  • Ensure construction documentation and certification is in place for handing over in a timely manner.
  • Validate job completion of contractors (certificates of acceptance) and assist project handover.
  • Assist the Project Manager and the Permitting Engineer for authorities' acceptances after construction completion.
  • Travel required.
  • Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Bilingual years of experience in construction in the industrial sector.
  • Knowledge and management skills for construction projects on site.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, or planning programs.
  • Management of work execution.
  • Project control: quality, schedule activities, and costs.
  • Commissioning of equipment and administrative activities to end projects.
