We are seeking a highly skilled Application and Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Continental. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our monitoring services and providing top-notch support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and implement new monitoring requirements to ensure optimal system performance
  • Troubleshoot any monitoring inconsistencies and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Create new dashboards based on new requirements, developing custom queries to meet business needs
  • Ramp up knowledge in the Service Team and provide expert-level support to clients
  • Handle tickets related to IBM ELM clients and Pure: Variant service, providing operational support in accordance with SLA and KPI
  • Actively improve UAT test cases based on daily support, bugs fixes, and new functionality
  • Attend daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings to ensure seamless collaboration
  • Monitor daily operational processes and take corrective action as necessary
  • Monitor and work on ticket queue using our ITSM tool

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
  • Good English language skills, spoken and written (German is a plus)
  • Experience in IT administration and service tasks
  • 1 year of work experience with Linux environments
  • 2+ years of system monitoring experience
  • 1+ years of work experience using cloud services (AWS preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge about agile methodologies (SCRUM/Kanban)
  • Good understanding of IT Service Management Processes
  • Knowledge about Jazz is a plus
  • Knowledge about Oracle DB is a plus
  • Experience in REST API
  • Experience in programming (Python, Java, and other scripting)
  • Experience with Synthetic/Real-Time User Monitoring (E2E)
