Position Summary: We are in search of a driven and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our Controllers Group. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Review and authorize monthly account reconciliations for various financial elements such as fixed assets and payroll expenses.
- Lead the preparation and review of annual financial statements and tax returns.
- Ensure the accuracy of disclosures in compliance with Mexican GAAP.
- Coordinate external audits and internal reviews effectively.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to address issues and adapt to process changes.
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues and external contacts in both English and Spanish.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent military experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or auditing.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or local equivalent.
- 4+ years of accounting experience in the banking or insurance sectors.
- Experience with payroll, fixed assets, and balance sheet management.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as PeopleSoft General Ledger and Hyperion Essbase.
