Medical Management and Occupational Health Program Coordinator

This role is responsible for managing medical management and occupational health programs to ensure compliance with policies and practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational medicine and experience in developing regulatory and medical compliance programs.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the medical management and regulatory compliance team, including drug and alcohol screening compliance and medical availability.
- Negotiate with medical vendors and lead the company's medical management function.
- Develop and implement medical management strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Provide oversight for medical management programs, including case management of on-the-job injuries and fitness for duty determinations.
- Partner with employee assistance programs and health promotion programs.
- Participate in developing business unit function goals, objectives, and systems.
- Evaluate reports, decisions, and results of business unit function in relation to established goals.
- Recommend new approaches and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of services performed.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job-related major field of study.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience in field railroad operations.
- Minimum seven (7) years of relevant professional experience, including specialized knowledge of a discipline utilized to lead an area of our business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification as medical examiner and examiner by the SCT.
- Specialty in Occupational Medicine.
- Knowledge of related regulations.
- Experience in developing regulatory and medical compliance programs, including drug and alcohol testing programs and certification programs.
- This position has a regular full-time schedule with a normal work week of Monday through Friday.
- This position may require minimal travel up to 10% of the time.
