About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Avery Dennison Smartrac in Queretaro, Mexico. As a key member of our Maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our flexographic equipment, minimizing downtime, and improving overall plant efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of plant equipment and its conditions.
- Perform ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting based on work orders.
- Monitor plant equipment to ensure optimal setup, work with Quality to minimize defects and reworks.
- Collaborate with Production to minimize waste and unplanned downtime.
- Ensure safe operation of plant equipment, working with EHS to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
- Develop and implement improvements to minimize downtime for line change and cleaning.
- Support plant equipment installation and startup.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechatronic, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, or a technical field, preferably in the Flexographic Industry.
- Intermediate-level English proficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid knowledge of Flexography Management methodologies, processes, and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Operation of maintenance shop machinery (desired).
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software, including AutoCAD or SolidWorks (desired).
