Job Summary:
Citigroup Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Equities Product Control Specialist to join our team. As an Equities Product Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, as well as providing analytical support to our trading business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily profit and loss (PnL) analysis and reporting
- Utilize front office risk systems to explain daily PnL movements and ensure accuracy
- Prepare market commentaries to explain significant PnL movements and events
- Reconcile income statement and balance sheet during month-end close
- Network with other areas of Finance to ensure policies and procedures are consistently adhered to
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve open risks
- Perform analysis for ad-hoc requests regarding regulatory, valuation, risk, and operational concerns
Requirements:
- Four-year bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, or other related disciplines
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry or related work experience in an accounting or finance department
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, markets, and products
- Effective written, verbal, and telephone-based communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills are a must; other financial systems are a plus
