Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our team in Mexico City, Mexico. As a Senior Analyst - Light Vehicle Sales Forecasting Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing our Light Vehicle Sales Forecasting service, which is a critical component of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze the Mexican light vehicle market, creating forecasts, custom reports, and intelligence briefings for clients.
- Network with key contacts in the Mexico region automotive market to validate data and exchange intelligence.
- Assist in maintaining S&P Global Mobility's Light Vehicle Sales Forecasts and related products, including Global Forecast Scenario Services.
- Demand forecasting: Coordinate data, analyze market trends, and develop forecasts. Utilize S&P Global Mobility's forecast methodology/model and tools to form sound forecast conclusions.
- Powertrain forecasting: Interpret regulation and industry decarbonization research. Conduct regional and OEM-level analysis for sales-based powertrain forecasts.
- Analytics and data modeling: Develop and maintain stable data workflows/pipelines from multiple sources. Translate stakeholder needs into well-designed and developed systems.
- Collaboration: Participate in project work, including cross-regional and cross-team projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in economics, business, or equivalent industry-related experience.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Python, KNIME, Alteryx, R, or similar.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish at a business level is required. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, interpersonal, and presentation skills for both large and small audiences.
- Strong analysis skills and the ability to assess and interpret information.
- Well-developed relationship-building skills.
- Passion for the automotive industry and working in a dynamic international team.
