Job Description
This Lead Design Engineer role involves supporting multiple projects, taking on design evaluation responsibilities from request to completion, and communicating effectively with team members and management. Key duties include performing and leading activities such as mechanical analysis, gas turbine engine component design, hand calculations, engineering documentation composition, component durability assessment, and engine manufacturing/build and test.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- Three or more years of engineering experience in gas turbine engines or turbomachinery, specialty in Engine externals design and/or analysis
- Ability to write technical reports and correspondence, including customer reports
- Ability to read part prints and interpret GD&T (desired)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Teamwork and adaptability
