About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Product Design Director to join our team in Mexico City. As a key member of our design leadership team, you'll be responsible for driving the Product Design process, collaborating with clients, and mentoring a team of talented designers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Product Design process, framing design opportunities, and guiding the team in concept explorations, prototyping, and testing.
  • Partner with clients to ensure our work meets their needs and serves as an advisor to further their business aspirations through design.
  • Mentor and manage a team of product designers, helping them hone their craft, find their voice, and contribute to our organization.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to develop digital products that meet the highest standards of quality and usability.
  • Contribute to the development of design systems, component libraries, and ongoing iteration of client products.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in UI/UX, interaction, or digital product design from consultancies, in-house environments, or other relevant backgrounds.
  • 1+ year of team management experience, either in HR capacity or project team leadership.
  • Effective time management skills to balance project schedules with fast-paced deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to develop digital products.
  • A strong, empathetic leader who inspires and encourages team members to deliver high-quality work.
  • A working knowledge of web and mobile technologies, platforms, and frameworks, as well as common design tools like Figma and Sketch.
