Design Engineer for Automotive Seating and Electrical Products

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Lear Corporation. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for delivering robust designs on time that meet cost and manufacturing objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate product development to ensure it is robust and viable for manufacturing.
- Provide support in the development of new programs and engineering changes, as well as support to manufacturing and/or assembly plants when required.
- Participate in conferences with clients and platforms.
- Schedule, coordinate, and provide support in the process of cutting and sewing ETR samples.
- Assemble and approve designs before releasing them to manufacturing.
- Develop and implement "BTS" in new product design.
- Create and update DFMEA's and SWI's of assigned programs.
- Consult and update activities in Profile.
- Upload, download, consult information, structure, and create part numbers on the PLM platform.
- Create Work Request.
- Participate in ICR/CTO events to generate ideas.
- Participate in multifunctional teams for continuous improvement (problem-solving technique).
- Obtain approval of ETR/PTR.
- Ensure the availability of certified complete assemblies for product development.
- Provide support in PTR runs.
- Carry out tolerance accumulation analysis when required.
- Follow up on the resolution of problems identified during the PDFA process.
- Register materials in the TES database.
- Interpretation of Poliworks and Master Trim reports.
- Provide support for minor changes in patterns through the use of PDS Software.
- Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Bilingual.
- Availability to work shifts and travel.
- +3 years of experience in manufacturing and/or product design and implementation of engineering changes in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge in Catia Software, Unigraphics, Autocad 2D and 3D, Adobe Illustrator. Creation of DFMEA for new products, interpretation of customer specifications, knowledge of Quality and Manufacturing systems.
- Skills in problem-solving techniques, finance, resource management, interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.
$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
